Dec 2015 – present: Head of Sci-tech Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Aarhus University Faculty of Natural Sciences and The Faculty of Technical Sciences with two new Deans for each faculty. My main task is to ensure that Entrepreneurship is integrated into the scientific curriculum. Additional roles and responsibilities include:
• Gamification of Entrepreneurship Education & Gamified learning
• High-performance-team formation (primarily for Entrepreneurship) using game-based stealth assessments
• Act as an Entrepreneurship advisor to different initiatives at the various departments but also as a mentor to startup teams. Coach faculty members in areas such as Design Thinking.
• Play-based learning within the aegis of AU’s Citizen-Science Platform – “ScienceAtHome”
Feb 2023 – present: Visiting Faculty at the IESEG school of Management, Paris where I will be running Entrepreneurship, communication & Leadership training.
May 2011- present: Co-founder of Biosymfonix (CVR: 33006039) and its educational board-game development arm – Biosymfonix EduGames (Founded May 2017 where I have the innovation advisory role as Chief Innovation Jedi-master). Current products include the award-winning game “ESHIP: Navigating Uncertainty” (for HigherEd institutions); “OI-AreYouReady” (Open Innovation Readiness Challenge Game for the Pharmaceutical Industry). The ESHIP game is currently in use by over 56 institutions across 27 different countries globally.
Sep 2009 – present: Board of Directors member at Bansara Eye Care Centre, Shillong, India – I am involved in advising in the scientific and business activities of the centre and its non-profit arm.

Apr 2014 – Nov 2015: Head of Open Innovation at Aarhus University Centre for Entrepreneurship &
Innovation reporting directly to the Director of the Centre (35 member strong center). Accomplishment-based Promotion.

July 2012 – Dec 2012: Associate researcher at Department of Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University. Researched the dynamics that help and maintain the formation of Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINs) for driving interdisciplinary collaboration between academia and industry. Joint applicant for EU-COST action plan on “Dynamics of Virtual Work”.
May 2011-Sep 2011: Management Consultant intern at Danish Technological Institute – Technology Transfer Division (Aarhus) – Position involved researching companies’ ability to implement Cradle-to-Cradle business models. The data generated was also part of the MBA thesis.
Aug 2007 – Aug 2009: Post-doctoral researcher at the interdisciplinary nanoscience center – iNANO at Aarhus University. I coordinated an international cross-disciplinary project on corneal dystrophy and the research was of high quality and relevance resulting in high impact publications and awards

I am regularly invited as a public speaker & keynote speaker at many events around the world and some of my most exciting ones have been the 2015 TEDx talk in Aarhus, Denmark and 2016 CSWglobal conference in London, UK. My TEDx lecture speaks on the power of purpose and how we should be purpose-driven in this hyper-connected world. One of my favorite talks was on the Medici Effect – i.e. the effect of patrons and infrastructure support to enable innovators such as Leonardo Da Vinci and how that is still relevant today is also one of my favorite talks. •Winner of the “Best Educational Game” in the non-digital game category (and 2nd place overall) at the 4th International Educational Games Competition held under the aegis of the European Conference on Game-Ba sed Learning 2016 for the Entrepreneurship game “ESHIP: Navigating Uncertainty”. The game also won a Silver Medal at the Serious Game Awards 2018
•2 nd Prize at the ECIE2016 International Teaching Innovation and Excellence Awards towards the teaching model – “Gamification of Entrepreneurship Education Using Design Thinking”
• Winner at the 2012 Financial Times MBA Challenge (May – Oct. 2012). As team captain, I led a team of fellow MBAs to overcome the challenge of “Eye-glasses uptake in children from developing countries to reduce prevalence of avoidable blindness”. The winning idea used gamification, sustainable bottom-of-the-pyramid business models and co-creation as combined intervention strategies
• Runners-up at the US$ 1 Million Hult Global Business Case Challenge (now known as the Hult Prize) in the New York global finals (26th April 2012). Awarded by former US President Bill Clinton. Main judges also included Nobel laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus and Mr. Michael Treschow (Chairman, Unilever). Used sustainable business models & gamification to empower poor children globally with education. 6 finalists (winner of every regional round in Dubai, Shanghai, Boston, London, San Francisco and 1 online winner) were flown in to New York for the finals.
• Winner at the CGI-sponsored Hult Global Business Case Challenge at the Dubai regional finals (25th Feb. 2012). Dubai finalists selected from over 4000 teams. Judges included Tariq Al Gurg, CEO, Dubai Cares; Jennifer Hardie, CEO Pinnacle HR; Rob Broedelet, Country Exec., ABN-AMRO
• Winner at Novo-Nordisk Innovation in Action – business case competition, Aarhus 26th Oct 2011.
• Semi-Finalist at the World Negotiation Challenge held in Leipzig, Germany on March 2011. Our team, representing Aarhus School of Business, competed with 12 other global teams.
• Winner of Best Cross-disciplinary team award at Aarhus Innovation Day Challenge 2010.
