Sanjoy Mukherjee (58), a Mechanical Engineer from Jadavpur University Kolkata, Sanjoy Mukherjee (58) did his post-graduation in Management from IIM Calcutta and PhD from Jadavpur University. After a corporate experience of nearly seven years, he had a long stint as a Faculty at the Management Centre for Human Values of IIM Calcutta. His areas of interest and research include Wisdom Leadership, Management by Human Values, Indian Ethos in Management, Business Ethics, CSR, History and Philosophy of Management, Management and Liberal Arts and Alternative Sources and Methods of Learning. He has lectured and presented in Conferences worldwide including such prestigious forums like Aspen Institute, Oxford Roundtable, Oxford Academy of Total Intelligence, Globethics Geneva, International Society for Business Ethics and Economics, Harvard Business School, Copenhagen Business School, Stockholm Business School, Corvinus University of Budapest, Norwegian School of Economics at Bergen, UNESCO Paris, China Europe International Business School, Coller Business School, Tel Aviv University, Israel among others. For nearly a decade he was the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Human Values, the bi-annual international journal from Sage Publications. He has published several papers and articles in national and international journals. He has jointly edited two books from Oxford University Press and Globethics Publications, Geneva.

Book titled ‘Sustainability Ethics’ edited jointly with Christoph Stuckelberger was published from Globethics Publications, Geneva, in October 2015.

Paper titled “India, China and Beyond: Tagorean Insights into Culture, Leadership and Human Development for Management”, was published in the book titled “China and India: History, Culture, Cooperation and Competition” edited by Paramita Mukherjee, Arnab K Deb and Miao Pang from SAGE in 2016.
Paper titled ‘Alternative Learning: A Voyage for Future Leadership’ was published in the book titled “Ethical Leadership: Indian and European Spiritual Approaches” (pp. 297-310) edited by Madhumita Chatterji and Laszlo Zsolnai from Palgrave Macmillan in 2016.
Paper titled ‘Creative Spirit in Management Education: Insights from Rabindranath Tagore’ was published as a Chapter (pp. 243-262) in the Book titled ‘Caring Management in the New Economy: Socially Responsible Behaviour through Spirituality’ edited by Ora setter and Laszlo Zsolnai in June 2019 from Palgrave Macmillan, Springer nature Switzerland.
Paper titled ‘Spirituality, Mindfulness and Ethical Leadership: Indian Insights’ jointly with Anindo Bhattacharjee was published as a Chapter in the Book titled ‘Consciousness in Management’ (Vol. 1) from Heartfulness Education Trust in collaboration with IIM Bangalore in July 2019.

Book titled ‘Looking East: Indian Wisdom for Modern Management’ (self as sole author) is due for publication from Peter Lang International Academic Publishers, Oxford. The final manuscript will be submitted by end September 2021. Publication contract with Peter Lang was signed in 2020.
Publication in Journal
Paper titled ‘Role of Spirituality in Enlivening Learning and Enhancing Effectiveness of Values and Ethics Education’ has been accepted for publication in the Special Issue on ‘Spirituality and Ethics’ of Journal of Management, Spirituality and Religion (ABDC ‘C:; SCOPUS). The publication is due this year.
