Hult Prize Organizing Committee
The Hult club promotes Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainability at IIM Shillong by conducting quizzes, article-writing, and speaker sessions. The club works closely in association with Hult International Business school to conduct its flagship competition – The Hult Prize.
Mission: The club’s mission is to get maximum participation for the Hult Prize. With the guidance of renowned individuals from various fields, we aspire to get the students prepared for regional rounds (international).
Vision: The club’s vision is to promote social entrepreneurship and sustainability. It aspires to help young entrepreneurs understand social challenges, devise efficient solutions, and form part of a new generation of global leaders.
Events
Hult Club hosted the Theme Reveal Event for the Hult Prize 2024. The event commenced with a profound emphasis on the significance of social entrepreneurship, elucidated by the esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, MD and Co-founder of JustOrganik. Following the enlightening discourse, Hult Club members enlightened students about the Hult Prize and unveiled the theme for this year’s event: “Unlimited”. Under this theme, students are tasked with devising pitches for social enterprises that align with any of the UN’s SDGs.
The Hult Club hosted a corporate training session led by alumni Mr. Subhabrata Mukherjee and Mr. Arjun Venugopal, Asian Regional Finalist and Regional Winners of the Hult Prize in 2018. The session aimed to prepare participants for the Hult Prize competition, offering invaluable insights and guidance. The event exemplified the Hult Club’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of changemakers and fostering a culture of innovation and social responsibility at IIM Shillong.
In its flagship competition – The HULT PRIZE, amongst the several participating teams, top 8 teams are selected to present their business idea to a panel of esteemed judges comprising of social entrepreneurs, industry stalwarts and distinguished professors. The winning team goes onto the regional round that is held in one of the international cities of Asia.
