International - Week

I-Week 2024

International Week serves as a platform that unites students and distinguished faculty from international universities, fostering an exchange of knowledge and experience across diverse disciplines. We also extend invitations to students from our partner institutes. Beyond sessions, we curate memorable experiences. International Week 2024 at IIM Shillong was designed as an immersive learning experience for international students, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how businesses operate in India. This year, alongside sessions, IIM Shillong organized various activities, including visits to the Don Bosco Museum, cooking workshops, a day-long excursion, and a cultural night, ensuring a rich and immersive experience for all participants.

IIM Shillong successfully organized International Week in July 2024, under the theme “Ideas Across Borders – Bridging Global Innovation and Local Impact.” Coordinated by the International Relations Committee, the event brought together esteemed speakers, including CEOs, startup founders, IAS officers, professors, and the British Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata, alongside international students from various B-schools to celebrate India’s rich educational and cultural heritage.

International Week 2024 at IIM Shillong brought together students from diverse countries and the IIM community for enriching cultural and academic exchanges. Distinguished speakers like Mr. Thiagarajan Venkatesan, Mr. Vishwas Anand, and Prof. Sanjeeb Kakoty shared insights on finance, content marketing, and sustainable global business practices. The event also featured sessions on branding, HR, conflict management, and Indian wisdom in modern management. Cultural excursions included visits to Tyrshi Falls, the Behdienkhlam Festival, and local monoliths, fostering cross-cultural appreciation. Culinary experiences at the Dial Muktieh Ramew Café and a vibrant cultural night showcased India’s rich traditions. Experts such as Mr. Mayukh Hazarika and Dr. Bryan Hochstein contributed valuable branding, entrepreneurship, and customer success lessons. The program concluded with a valedictory session, marking the successful culmination of an exceptional week of global learning and community building.
