Biography

Dr. Sharma is a faculty member in the Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques area at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong. Prior to this, he was associated with the School of Business Management, SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University, Mumbai.

Dr. Sharma holds a PhD in Operations Management from the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He also earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Systems Design from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

Dr. Sharma’s research lies on the interface of operations management and business analytics, with a focus on quality improvement and management, metaheuristic search strategies, and operational excellence in higher education. His teaching interests include Quality Management, Operations Research, and Data Analytics.
